This bag is interfaced with
Medium Weight Woven Fusible Interfacing on the lining and
In-R-Form foam stabilser on the exterior. At times you will be sewing through 1/2" of foam stabiliser on this bag so you will need a sewing machine that can handle these kind of thicknesses. I found that my little Brother Innovis-950 couldn't handle the bulk (broke 5 needles learning this :/) but my Janome Memory Craft 4900 handled it fine. When sewing bags with a lot of stabilisers in them I find that a
some form of double sided adhesive tape is brilliant for holding straps and zippers in place before sewing. It is also invaluable when inserting the piping and the bias tape on the lining seam, in fact I think that I used most a roll on this bag ;)
Overall this bag can be a little challenging purely due to the bulk of the foam stabiliser but the level of difficulty will come down to your sewing machine.
I think you will all agree that the finished product is pretty awesome and worth a little effort :)
I still found time to list some new products over on the website, check them all out below :) I believe that Hot Wheels has been discontinued by Alexander Henry so this may be the last time that I will be able to stock it.
