New in Store - 27th December 2015

I managed to get a few items listed on the website before Christmas. I now have a range of 2" waistband Elastic. If you ave never used waistband elastic before here are a collection of free tutorials to get you started :)


I also have a selection of fabrics and art panels from Studio T Green. Tammie is now designing for Riley Blake so these are the last of the fabrics that she has designed and printed under her own label.

New in Store - 20th December 2015

I must confess, I have had the fabrics below in stock for a month or two but they have just never made it onto the website before this week. My batik scrap packs are always really popular so I am trialling some bolts to see how they go.  
Adventures in Wonderland is a collection I had way back in the very early days of Voodoo Rabbit and it was very popular. I was so excited when it was re-released this year that I have purchased the entire range :)

New in Store - 6th December 2015

We are on the homeward stretch to Christmas and I am trying to get all of the new stock up on the website before then. 
This week was sewing pattern and bag hardware week :) In addition to the items pictured below I am now also selling Soft and Stable byAnnie available in 1/2yard and 1 yard packs. I have new patterns from Funky Friends Factory, Hissyfitz Designs, Emmaline Bags, byAnnie and McKay Manor Musers.

Only one fabric listed this week but it is an out of print Alexander Henry Fabrics pinup boys Christmas fabric, which is pretty awesome :)

New in Store - 22nd November 2015

I have finished with my travels so I am working very hard to get all of the stock that isn't on the website up before Christmas. This week I have added new Alexander Henry Fabrics including out of print Zombies! and Kokka fabrics including Echino plains.

New in Store - 8th November 2015

It is great to be back in Australia, I always love coming home after being over seas. It makes you appreciate how nice it is here :)
I have been busy back at work and have been adding new stock to the website including some new patterns from Australian designers Funky Friends Factory and Moonshine Designs. While I was in the States I picked up some new Serendipity Studios patterns including 7 brand new ones, all are now available on the website. 
I was also able to pick up some more plastic snap together grommets, these are getting harder to source in Australia so it was great to find another supplier. I now have 6 colours available including the new Matte Gold and the reintroduction of Shiny Silver.

New in Store - 18th October 2015

It's here, the Doctor Who Tardis fabric has arrived and is now available in the online store !! I have also received a number of Alexander Henry fabric as well, including Sebastian Ghastlie and pinup girls. 

In other news I'm off to the Quilt Market in Houston this week so I keep an eye on our Facebook page as I'll be posting photos of all the cool new fabric that is going to be released. Michelle from Lemon Jellie Stitches will be looking after the shop while I am away so both the online and Annerley stores will remain open and postal orders will be shipped as per normal.

I have been very busy this week getting ready for the Brisbane Craft and Quilt Fair but I found a bit of time to list a few item over on the website.

New in Store - 28th September 2015

This week we received our first 3 rolls of Tula Pinks new Freefall range, these fabrics are 274cm (108") wide. It feel like cotton sateen but they are actually cotton with a chintz coating that is polished down so it has a bit of a sheen. Freefall is perfect to use as quilt backings, cushions, dresses and bags. I have the other 3 colours on order so hopefully they aren't too far away.

We now have the 40mm (1-1/2") polypropylene bag webbing in 3 new colours bringing the total colours available up to 6 (white, gold, red, royal blue, navy blue and black).

We have also received a new shipment of patterns from Serendipity Studios and premium solids from Northcott fabrics.

Emily Taylor's new Zombie Love collection from Riley Blake Designs has arrived earlier than expected. I was so excited to receive it that I stayed up till midnight on Friday sewing up a Tara Tank Dress to show it off in the front window :)

New in Store - 6th September 2015


This week we have some beautiful designs from Joel Dewberry's new Atrium collection from Free Spirit as well as Lady Claire, a vintage sewing themed range from Blank Quilting. Kokka brings us a new Alice in Wonderland design and a fun space themed comic style print.
I have also finally managed to source some saddlers punches which are great for punching holes for purse feet and other hardware.

New in Store - 9th August 2015

The other week I went through the Alexander Henry distributor's warehouse to see what was available. There were so many fabric that I wanted to get but I had to narrow it down to a handful. I chose the following ones as most of them are out of print and no longer going to be available. In other news Sewline, who manufacture the ever popular Glue Pen are now making sewing scissors. These scissors are very high quality, manufactured in Japan and are suitable for both left and right handed sewists.

New Classes
We have added in two new classes for September, the fan bag which is suitable for beginner sewists and the Reversible Wrap Skirt which is a great class for sewist who want to give dressmaking a go. We also have another Frame Purse Workshop, after this one we will probably only have time to run this workshop one more time before the end of the year.

New in Store - 26th July 2015

Lots of new fabric this week, we have the Something Wicked collection from Wilmington Prints which is an Edgar Allen Poe inspired Halloween range. It includes an apron panel and a placemat panel for all of your Halloween hosting duties :) We also have a number of old favourites from Alexander Henry including the ever popular Tattoo print.


Last but not least we now have the latest Funky Friends Factory pattern, Harper the Hobby Horse. I made up these two last week as in store samples. Next time you stop by the shop check out the shop window :)
