Voodoo Apprentices

How cool is this, Faerie Majikk has painted a picture of us.

size: 8″ x 11″ approx / 23 x 28cm

Well kind of, she is doing a series at the moment where she contacts Etsy DUST (Down.Under.Street.Team) members and asks for a description, she then uses this description as the basis for a painting.

I think this one is pretty cool, am seriously thinking about purchasing it.

Wednesday Wishlist: Elephants

He is just too cute for words! After seeing him, I decided to have a look at other elephant items from other members of our Etsy teams. Here's one more from Team Bacon!

Last but not least, my favourites from the EtsyDarkSide Team. The members of this team really crack me up sometimes. I play "Words with Friends" with both Mrs Evils and Somnambulant. They beat me every time.

As you can see, our Etsy teams are quite diverse! Voodoo Rabbit seems to fit quite well with all three. I'm not sure that that says about us though, other than the fact that I am a very complex bunny.

Wishlist Wednesday: A special one for Curlypops

One of our favourite bloggers, Curlypops is not feeling very well. So this week, we are dedicating the Wishlist Wednesday to her & hope that she has a speedy recovery.

We need to start with a card. I like this bright, happy one from Little Mo & Friends. It says "Sunshine Wishes for You" and it would look very pretty on her treasure shelf after she gets home.

Some Ruby Slippers would be perfect for lounging around the house while curlypops recuperates don't you think? These are made by alifecrocheted and have the best buttons on them.

There is no point lazing around either. Curlypops is always crafting so we would also need to pop in a Surprise Goody Bag from JamboChameleon for her to play with.

And we would wrap it all up in some vibrant, eco-friendly, recycled paper from PaperbyForgetMeNot. I think the yellow would be the best colour to match the card.

We know this is only a 'virtual' present but we hope it cheers you up Cam. Get well soon!

Happy New Year!

I can't believe that it's 2010 already! Voodoo Rabbit's Etsy store is now 6 months old & it is chugging along quite nicely. The support we've recieved from the DUST team and also the Etsy Dark Team has been fantastic and it has certainly made a difference to us - not in terms of sales numbers but in motivating us to keep going.

We have been featured in a number of treasuries too. I've uploaded screen shots of them to our Flickr site here.

So what's on the cards for Voodoo Rabbit in 2010? More original fabric designs. The Spidery Web design is coming in new colours to Etsy very soon (see the pic). Lots of new fabrics from Japan - especially Kokka / Echino. We will also be stocking the brand new Alexander Henry Tiki Lounge range (due hopefully in April). Ky & Cloud will both be in Japan in February and we'll bring back lots of goodies for the shop.We are also considering making up craft kits - purses, sashiko (our own designs) and handbags, etc.
