Wednesday Wishlist

Do you ever feel that time is flying by too fast and you wish you could either slow it down or get more? I asked Cloud what she was wishing for today and she said, "More time!". I'm not quite sure is this is going to help her but I really like these time-related items found on Etsy :)

Wishlist Wednesday

If you are new to crafting or just want to give something new a try, kits are a great way to get started. They usually come with all of the materials required as well as a pattern and instructions. Here are some cute little kits / patterns that we found on Etsy.

First up is a nice easy one, Toadstool PDF pattern by Gifts Created. This listing is just for a pattern but you can also request a complete kit.

Once you are feeling a bit more confident you can move onto something a bit trickier like this Bunny Head Magnet - Needle Felting Kit by Hi-Fiber Kits

Finally you can step up and try an advanced project like this georgeous Yoki the Dragon KIT by DIY Fluffies Soft Toy Patterns & Kits

Yoki caught Cloud's eye a week or so ago. She'll never make him (she still has patterns she bought two years ago that haven't made it out of the packets yet) and I bet she secretly hopes I will do it for her. She can keep wishing, I want him all for myself :P

This little bunny is putting all of her efforts into reaching for the stars right now. I'm going to get there too.

Wednesday Wishlist: Elephants

FeltLikeHelping, one of our Team Bacon! friends made this totally adorable needle-felted bookmark.

He is just too cute for words! After seeing him, I decided to have a look at other elephant items from other members of our Etsy teams. Here's one more from Team Bacon!

DUST team (all Aussie seller team of awesome) couldn't be left out. I love this satchel and these earrings are super cute too.

Last but not least, my favourites from the EtsyDarkSide Team. The members of this team really crack me up sometimes. I play "Words with Friends" with both Mrs Evils and Somnambulant. They beat me every time.

As you can see, our Etsy teams are quite diverse! Voodoo Rabbit seems to fit quite well with all three. I'm not sure that that says about us though, other than the fact that I am a very complex bunny.

Wishlist Wednesday: A special one for Curlypops

One of our favourite bloggers, Curlypops is not feeling very well. So this week, we are dedicating the Wishlist Wednesday to her & hope that she has a speedy recovery.

We need to start with a card. I like this bright, happy one from Little Mo & Friends. It says "Sunshine Wishes for You" and it would look very pretty on her treasure shelf after she gets home.

Some Ruby Slippers would be perfect for lounging around the house while curlypops recuperates don't you think? These are made by alifecrocheted and have the best buttons on them.

There is no point lazing around either. Curlypops is always crafting so we would also need to pop in a Surprise Goody Bag from JamboChameleon for her to play with.

And we would wrap it all up in some vibrant, eco-friendly, recycled paper from PaperbyForgetMeNot. I think the yellow would be the best colour to match the card.

We know this is only a 'virtual' present but we hope it cheers you up Cam. Get well soon!

SOLA: Craft Fair - 1 June 2010

No Wishlist Wednesday today - we have decided to tell you about the Saviours of the Lost Arts Craft Fair instead :)

The Brisbane City Council organised a huge affair in King George Square yesterday to allow local artisans / crafters an opportunity to show off their skills with workshops and promote their micro-businesses by holding market stalls. It was a fantastic event and Voodoo Rabbit had a stall there.

June 1 2010 - Craft Fair Stall 02

Here we are - all set up and ready to go. Cloud is standing in front reading a supplier catalogue and I was  behind the table trying to quickly eat my breakfast. Cloud had to run off to her day job after set up so I was on my own for most of the day.

June 1 2010 - Craft Fair Stall 03

We had our handmade Voodoo Rabbit Stitches bags and cushions there yesterday but people weren't interested... they were after fabric. Lots of fabric! I was run off my feet all day. Luckily Cloud came up at lunch time so I could have some food. It was exceptionally busy while she was there. The beautiful weather for the first day of winter really drew people out of their offices and down to the market during their lunch break.

I also had a lovely time chatting with Ellie from Red Seed Studio who had the stall next to me. If you are in the market for beautiful hand screenprinted eco friendly fabric and products you should definately check out her store.

Wishlist Wednesday

Continuing with the vampire/true love forever theme, here are some awesome products to die for.

A cute little vampire bat flutters into your bedroom window, but is he as harmless as he looks?

Batling Pin Brooch - Purple Red by Static White's Stitchery

Suddenly an ominous shadow appears on your wall, who's there?

The next thing you know there is a creepy dead guy proclaiming you as his long lost love and offering you his heart. Hopefully not quite this literally.

I GIVE YOU MY HEART... by Midnitemuse

How will the story end?

Wednesday Wishlist

For all of you geeky lovers out there, this one is for you. I'd like to dedicate this post to my very own geek, Polymonkey.

Have you been touched by his noodley appendage? Not particularly love related but it is a joke that only geeky people will get.
Flying Spaghetti Monster Ornament by Livinginthepast

Not available to buy but this awesome quilt was made by Lucy for her boyfriend Jesse. Now that's love. Found via Sprite Stitch

Wishlist Wednesday

I thought it was high time for a Spoonflower digital fabric printing wishlist so I've gone through my favourites and picked a few to share with everyone today.

spoon_flower_cakes

This super yummy fabric is by designer Danielle Hanson, check out more of her fabric designs here.

Robot Gear Garden

Sweet little robot fabric from Jackie at Wee Life, she has some coordinating fabrics available as well. I think this one would look good as a button up shirt or even as a dress.

Sewing Forever Tattoo

Sewing themed tattoo fabric from Cynthia Frenette. Unfortunately her profile page seems to have gone missing so I can't provide a link but if you do a search for her name you will find a number of cool retro look designs.

Kids Costumes

Super cute halloween print from designer malien00, more of her designs can be found here. A number of which feature bunnies which is always nice to see.

Pink Skull Stripe -150dpi

Last but not least I really want to create another sleeveless button up shirt with lace up sides out of this fabric that I designed for the shop.
