New in Store - 5th February 2017

This week the very much anticipated Outback Wife 150cm wide barkcloth from Cathi Bessell-Browne (Gertrude Made) arrived. This 100% cotton fabric has been printed in Japan on a base cloth that has been back engineered to replicate vintage barkcloth as closely as possible. The stunning hand-painted floral designs have been a labour of love and have taken more than a year to complete.
Inspired by the beautiful floral barkcloth fabrics of the 1940s and 1950s, each detail of this collection has been meticulously and sincerely considered to create a range with an authentic vintage voice.

New in Store - 7th August 2016

Just a quick new in store post today as I am busy with Greazefest all weekend. I have two new ranges to share with you today. A funky urban range from Moda Fabric called Dapper and a fun drawing themed fabric from Robert Kaufman called Design Basics. In the way of sewing workshops there is a new skirt class to make a Dirndl Skirt which is a a full, wide skirt with a tight waistband.

New in Store - 29th May 2016

I've been promising some new classes for a while now and after a small hiccup where I deleted several hundred products off my website (they are back again now) I am on track again. All of the new classes are listed on the website, there are a few old favourites as well as some brand new ones including regular dressmaking classes.

There are also a few new pieces of bag hardware, patterns and haberdashery.

New in Store - 31st January 2016

When I was in Houston last year at the Quilt market I discovered a number of bag patterns that used mesh for the pockets. Since I wanted to stock some of these patterns I also have to stock the mesh :) There is a large, medium weight available in 4 colours and a lighter weight only available in Black and White. I hope to add in a few more colours in the medium weight in the next month or so. If you saw the Sew Sweetness Ansel Camera Bag sample I made, this is the mesh I used on the inside lid pocket.

If you are a fan of Echino fabrics you will love the 3 new cotton sateen designs that I have in store featuring her signature bird and fox motifs. 

If you haven't already signed up to our Sew Creative Club and you missed out on our first Saturday class, which filled in record time, you are in luck. Due to popular demand the Wednesday class has been changed to an additional Saturday class.

New in Store and Sewing Workshops - 17th May 2015

This week I've added a bunch of new English Paper Piecing acrylic and paper templates as well as a few new classes. New classes will be added regularly and a few different times for each class will be trialled to see what times work best for everyone.

New in Store - May 11 2014

First up we just want to let you all know we will be attending a trade event with the Queensland Quilters on Tuesday 13th May so the Showroom will be closed for the day. 

This week we have a few new RileyBlake fabrics from the Unicorns and Rainbows, British Invasion and Witch Hazel ranges. We have a few of the old favourites back from Alexander Henry including the Wrangler Cowboys, because we know how much you all love them ;) We are happy to announce that we are now stocking the popular Sewline range of fabric pens, pencils and glues.
