New in Store - 19th March 2017

I made a big dint in the backlog of stock that I had to list up on the website this week. So much so that I've had to break today's post up into 3 sections :) First up I have some new pre-cut bundles from Riley Blake Designs and Heather Bailey. Some cute little halloween and caravan designs, also from Riley Blake Designs. And while not as exciting the ever necessary ironing aids, if you have to iron you may as well make it as easy as possible :)

I know how much you all love cat fabric, I have several new ones this week from Andover, Cocoland and Kokka. Also from Kokka there are new Alice in Wonderland prints as well as a very awesome cassette tape design. From Robert Kaufman I have the new KISS fabric range featuring a panel with 4 co-ordinating prints.

And last but not least we have the new Tabby Road collection from Tula Pink, this is the only meterage that I have. I will be getting the 2.5" rolls, 5" and 10" charm squares sometime next month.

New in Store - 22nd January 2017

Lots has been happening this week, all of the bag hardware and zippers that I have had on order arrived on Wednesday. I have been busy packaging up and listing new stock on the website. I also have a couple of new mail order clubs ready to go.


Bag Club 2017 - receive a bag kit every 2 months for a year (6 bags total).
Feature Fabric Club - receive two pieces of feature fabric every month.

I've often had requests for gunmetal black bag hardware but it is really hard to source. The good news is that Emmaline Bags now has a small range of gunmetal hardware. I have the 25mm (1") slide adjusters and d-rings in stock now. I'll be getting the hooks, rivets and metal bag labels in my next order. There are also a few new items available in gold as well.


Have you seen the Clover Convertible Backpack by Blue Calla Patterns? It is the January Pattern for the Bag of the Month PDF Pattern Club and it looks pretty awesome :)

New in Store - 15th January 2017

I have had a clean out of the sewing patterns in the shop and have decided to discontinue selling a number of them, mainly kids clothing and embroidery patterns. All of the sale items can be found in the On Sale section of the website. Brands include Cake Patterns, Moonshine Design, Tadah, Sublime Stitching, McKay Manor Musers and Hissyfitz Designs.


New fabric is starting to trickle in with a super cute puppy dog collection from Riley Blake Designs. I have also listed some Brazilian Dimensional Embroidery kits. I got these from Quilt Market last year on a whim and have been trying to decide what to do with them since. I have started stitching up the Verana design and it is a lot of fun :) All of the kits can now be found over on the website.

New in Store - 23rd October 2016

The cork fabric has been a great success so I am aiming to do a much larger order which will include some new colours and patterns. Although I have been assured that the colours and quantities that I have ordered will be shipped to me I am at the mercy of the factory. If my stock arrives and I do not have the item you have pre-ordered I will offer you an alternative or refund your pre-order payment.


I am slowly working through the backlog of fabric I have to add to the website and this is the last of it, at least it would have been if another fabric shipment hadn't arrived during the week ;D
But I did add so many new fabrics this week that I have divided the collages up so you can actually see what the fabric looks like. First up we have some Alexander Henry Fabric with a bit of Tula Pink Slow and Steady and a piece of Cotton and Steel thrown in for good measures.

Next we have the new Alice in Wonderland fabrics There is a cute comic style one from Timeless Treasures Fabric. From Lecien, Japan there is a panel and matching print in three colour ways printed on Cotton/Linen.

And last but not least we have a vintage inspired apron collection featuring an apron panel and three co-ordinating fabrics from Penny Rose Fabric. From Riley Blake Designs there is a stylish nature inspired range that is suitable for both men and women.

New in Store - 24th July 2016

This week I have listed the last couple of Riley Blake Fabrics I got in a few weeks ago, there are cute bunnies from the Pixie Noel range and pineapples from the Fresh Market range. I have also added in a few more old favourites from Alexander Henry Fabrics including the very popular Golden Garden and After Dark designs.
In an attempt to stock more vintage style and men's patterns I've resorted to getting in a select range from Butterick and Kwik Sew. There is a Men's bowling shirt and easy shorts/pants pattern and a few new vintage style dresses for the ladies.

New in Store - 10th July 2016

This week the remainder of the very funky Keep On Groovin' collection from Riley Blake Designs arrived in store. I love the colours and retro design of this range, a must for any kombi lover :)
The latest pattern from Funky Friends Factory is also now in store. Sparkles is a shy little Seahorse who is spends the day playing hide & seek in the sea grass. She has lots of little bits so this pattern isn’t recommend for beginners.
I have gotten a bit behind schedule with listing bag interfacing and hardware kits because I was sick the last few weeks, this week I started listing them again. The Sew Serendipity Madison Wallet Bag interfacing kit and hardware kits all available in store and online. Also available is the Sew Sweetness Ansel Camera Bag interfacing and hardware kit, the buckles in the hardware kit are available in several colours as well as black.

New in Store - 26th June 2016

I've been a bit under the weather this week but I have done my best to get a few new items up on the website. I have some new bag bling from Emmaline Bags including metal edge trim and new oval bag handles that screw on instead of using prongs making them much more secure. The very popular blood platter fabric from Robert Kaufman has also come back into stock, this one usually sells out pretty fast so be quick so you don't miss out.
Last week mesh fabric came back into stock with a couple of new colours. If you are unfamiliar with this product it is great for adding pockets to bags and organisers that are slightly stretchy and allows you to see what is inside. If you are on the look out for a pattern that utilises the mesh there are several good ones from Patterns by Annie available now.

New in Store - 15th May 2016

It has been a bit of a crazy week online this week. I accidentally deleted a few hundred products off my webpage so I am very behind my regular new product listing schedule. I have re-added approximately 1/3 of the missing products but thought I should add a few new products as well. 
This week we have some new super hero fabric featuring Black Widow, I'm not overly keen to stock licensed fabric but I'm kind of partial to this one :)
There is also some new skulls and spiders from the Lost & Found Halloween collection from Riley Blake Designs and some Japanese prints from Cosmo Textiles. 
If you are into embroidery or cross stitch you may like to try the new snap frames from Birch. Four plastic C-shaped clamps hold your fabric onto the bars. Tension is easy to adjust so you will have a smooth stitching surface around entire frame without hoop wrinkles.

New in Store - 21st February 2016

I've been working hard behind the scenes to get stock ready for classes and the upcoming trade shows so there wasn't too much added to the web store this week. There was a big restock of bag hardware, some cute cherries from Riley Blake Designs, glow in the dark sugar skulls from Timeless Treasures Fabric and some new classes including the Emmaline Bags Necessary Clutch Wallet and Retreat Bag.

New in Store - 24th January 2016

I've almost caught up with the backlog of product listings I have to do, of course every time I think that I'm done more stock arrives, LOL. This week I have some very nice beach themed fabrics from Riley Blake Designs, Flamingos from Michael Miller and Timeless Treasures. I'm very excited to receive the new Doctor Who fabric range from Springs Creative, consisting of a fabric panel with two co-ordinating fabric. 

On the patterns side of things I now have Sew Sweetness patterns by Sara Lawson. I have been sewing up the Ansel Camera Bag this week, you can checkout my progress over on Instagram or Facebook. If you are a fan of Soft and Stable byAnnie you might want to have a look at our new fusible foam interfacing. This product is from Australian brand Matilda's Own but it is made in the same factory as the product from byAnnie. It is also similar to Pellon Foam Flex but is slightly thinner.

New in Store - 27th December 2015

I managed to get a few items listed on the website before Christmas. I now have a range of 2" waistband Elastic. If you ave never used waistband elastic before here are a collection of free tutorials to get you started :)


I also have a selection of fabrics and art panels from Studio T Green. Tammie is now designing for Riley Blake so these are the last of the fabrics that she has designed and printed under her own label.

New in Store - 20th September 2015

Emily Taylor's new Zombie Love collection from Riley Blake Designs has arrived earlier than expected. I was so excited to receive it that I stayed up till midnight on Friday sewing up a Tara Tank Dress to show it off in the front window :)

New in Store - 5th July 2015

This week we received Sew Scary panels from Quilting Treasures. This collection was designed by one of my favourite designers J. Wecker Frisch who also designed the Handmaidens ranges. He art is a little bit steampunk with a vintage twist though this range is more reminiscent of antique book plate illustrations. We also have a some new Riley Blake Designs Novelty prints including unicorns and flamingos.
