I've added all the new Alexander Henry Fabric to the web store this week. There is some very impressive Aztec warriors from the Folklorico collection and a super fantastic Unicorns and Rainbows design from the Monkey's Bizness range.

Bag Making Club 2017
If you love making bags then our latest mail order club is just for you.
This is a brand new online club where, over the year, you will receive 6 bag kits to create stunning bags to suit your own personal style. Once you join the club 1 Bag Making Kit (Pattern, interfacing and hardware) will be sent out to you every 2 months. Featuring bag patterns from You Sew Girl, Sew Sweetness, Two Pretty Poppets and Emmaline Bags plus high quality stabilisers and hardware, these kits will enable you to try out new techniques and expand your bag making skills.
Each pattern has been chosen to introduce you to different techniques, stabiliser combinations and hardware. The patterns all have clear instructions and illustrations/photos.
The first four kits are set but you have a choice of the following for the last two.
You can also choose if you prefer Silver or Antique Brass Hardware* and Black or White Zippers.
Your Subscription Includes:
- 1 x Bag Pattern -
- All necessary interfacings and stabilisers -
- All required bag hardware (rings, closures, slides etc) -
- All zippers (choice of black /white) -
- BONUS useful sewing/bag making tool! -
Fabric is NOT included ~ great way to utilise your fabric stash.

New in Store - 22nd January 2017
Lots has been happening this week, all of the bag hardware and zippers that I have had on order arrived on Wednesday. I have been busy packaging up and listing new stock on the website. I also have a couple of new mail order clubs ready to go.
Bag Club 2017 - receive a bag kit every 2 months for a year (6 bags total).
Feature Fabric Club - receive two pieces of feature fabric every month.
I've often had requests for gunmetal black bag hardware but it is really hard to source. The good news is that Emmaline Bags now has a small range of gunmetal hardware. I have the 25mm (1") slide adjusters and d-rings in stock now. I'll be getting the hooks, rivets and metal bag labels in my next order. There are also a few new items available in gold as well.
Have you seen the Clover Convertible Backpack by Blue Calla Patterns? It is the January Pattern for the Bag of the Month PDF Pattern Club and it looks pretty awesome :)

New in Store - 26th November 2016
Due to popular demand I am now stocking a selection of gold coloured bag hardware, there is more to come but for the moment this is the full selection. If you have a request for a particular product that you require in gold please let me know and I will see what I can do.
Rivets are now available in a new size, these ones have a 6mm cap and a 6mm long stem. They are suitable for the Necessary Clutch Wallet if you prefer a smaller head on your rivets.
There is now a new section on the website for pre-cut fabrics, this is where I will be adding any charm packs, layer cakes or jelly rolls. A few have been added to the website and there are a few random ones available in store that won't be added to the site.

New in Store - 6th November 2016
This week I would like to introduce a new bag designer to my store, Lisa from Two Pretty Poppets. Lisa is an Australian designer and she has 11 patterns in print format. I have all of them available on the website and in store, I can't wait to get in and make some samples of these super cute looking patterns.
We also had bagmaking supplies from Emmaline Bags and You Sew Girl arrive this week and next week I will have a large shipment of hardware from Hong Kong arriving as well. So 'almost' everything will be back in stock again. I have already sold out of Style B frames from Emmaline but I will be getting more in again hopefully in two weeks.
I have had some requests for gold coloured bag hardware, specifically the strap anchors but if there is anything that you really would like me to stock in gold please let me know and I will see what I can do.

New in Store - 28th August 2016
I'm very excited to announce that I now stock Cork fabric. Also known as vegan or cork leather, it is perfect for sewing on a home sewing machine! Great for bags and wallets. It is created by adhering thin slices of natural cork onto a Poly/cotton fabric backing. It is available in a range of colours and really adds that professional finish to a project.

New in Store - 26th June 2016
I've been a bit under the weather this week but I have done my best to get a few new items up on the website. I have some new bag bling from Emmaline Bags including metal edge trim and new oval bag handles that screw on instead of using prongs making them much more secure. The very popular blood platter fabric from Robert Kaufman has also come back into stock, this one usually sells out pretty fast so be quick so you don't miss out.
Last week mesh fabric came back into stock with a couple of new colours. If you are unfamiliar with this product it is great for adding pockets to bags and organisers that are slightly stretchy and allows you to see what is inside. If you are on the look out for a pattern that utilises the mesh there are several good ones from Patterns by Annie available now.

New in Store - 13th March 2016
This week I have been busy cutting up fabric for the Brisbane Stitches and Craft Show which is on next week (17th-20th March). In between I managed to photograph and list a bunch of new stock that arrived amongst the mayhem. I have also restocked a large amount of bag hardware and patterns from You Sew Girl and Emmaline Bags and Foam Stabiliser from Bosal.

New in Store - 21st February 2016
I've been working hard behind the scenes to get stock ready for classes and the upcoming trade shows so there wasn't too much added to the web store this week. There was a big restock of bag hardware, some cute cherries from Riley Blake Designs, glow in the dark sugar skulls from Timeless Treasures Fabric and some new classes including the Emmaline Bags Necessary Clutch Wallet and Retreat Bag.

New in Store - 17th January 2016
Lets call this Cotton & Steel fabric week as the majority of items that were added to the store were from this group of talented ladies. I have new designs from my favourite Cotton & Steel designers Sarah Watts, Melody Miller and Kim Kight.
For anyone looking to learn new and interesting sewing techniques we have introduced an exciting new sewing class this year which we've christened Sew Creative Club. Each club meeting will feature a new project and you will leave each class with the skills and information needed to make many more at home. Sew Creative Club is a wonderful way to squeeze more sewing into your year, learn new skills, try your hand at making new projects and make some great gifts for others... or for yourself!
Club Members will receive an exclusive in-store discount throughout the year; and also be eligible for fun giveaways each class. Choose either the Wednesday morning or the Saturday afternoon club.

New in Store - 10th January 2016
Whew, I survived the first week back in the shop for the year :) I hope everyone else who had to go back to work this week had a relatively painless time of it.
I'm still busy listing new products on the website, this week I have new and restock of old bag and purse hardware including all three sizes of internal frame wires from Emmaline Bags.
If you haven't seen it yet the Retreat Bag is a free pattern from Emmaline Bags. It is a simple zippered pouch with a wide base and a wide structured opening. There is a casing in the top where you insert the internal wire frames (one on each side), which helps it stay open when unzipped, and turns the corners down when closed.
In Tula Pink news more stock of the Coloring Book has arrived just in time for after Christmas *sigh* and the Tula Pink scissors have completely sold out.
In regards to fabric I have listed a handful of Quilting Treasure designs from Dan Morris, Ed Hardy and Studio 8.

New in Store - 6th December 2015
We are on the homeward stretch to Christmas and I am trying to get all of the new stock up on the website before then.
This week was sewing pattern and bag hardware week :) In addition to the items pictured below I am now also selling Soft and Stable byAnnie available in 1/2yard and 1 yard packs. I have new patterns from Funky Friends Factory, Hissyfitz Designs, Emmaline Bags, byAnnie and McKay Manor Musers.
Only one fabric listed this week but it is an out of print Alexander Henry Fabrics pinup boys Christmas fabric, which is pretty awesome :)
